Really fed up. Not from a money point of view, but I went for a job interview last week that I would really have liked to get, but it doesn't look like I have got it. Not that they have bothered to tell me. Since when did it become acceptable to not inform people who have taken the trouble to come to an interview - especially an interview where the interviewers were running FIFTY MINUTES LATE - that they haven't been given the job? I'm seriously losing faith in the fact that I am ever going to get away from the place I work.
Also am desperate to shift some weight and hate the way I look but I don't seem to be able to stick to a diet. I had some thyroid bloods taken last week which are as normal as normal can be, so there's no medical reason for me not losing weight. But even though I seem to be desperate to lose weight, there is something inside my head which overrides it and even though I can have a really good diet day, as soon as I get home, it's like there's a switch that automatically makes me want to eat. Whenever I do have a good diet week, I lose very poor amounts of weight which doesn't keep me motivated at all.
But never mind, I'm sure I will bounce back,Emergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0 -

Define poor weight loss. A healthy amount to lose is no more than 2lb per week. Even if you lose half a pound a week, that's nearly 2 stone in a year. If you lose a pound a week you'll lose three and a half stone.
It's really sh*tty when you feel bad about weight/how you look. I know how that is. Why are you eating at night when you come home? What are the triggers? Boredom?? Figure that out and you're halfway there.
Keep your chin up petal, we're all rooting for you. Xxx0 -

Thanks ooh moo-full one. Yes, it's definitely boredom eating although I eat nice things because I am greedy, they taste nice and I enjoy it. My definition of weight loss is a good two weeks weight loss, and at least 7lbs in 4 weeks ( which is not unrealistic given that I am at least 4 stones overweight). Mine went: -2lbs, -1,5lbs + 2.5lbs, 0lbs, +1lb, -0.5lbs then I got fed up and stopped going. On the weeks I lost weight, I tracked religiously. Then when I didn't lose well enough I got bored and didn't track, and gained weight. That was when I started wondering if I might be hypothyroid (as I am cold all the time which is a major symptom)
Also got my rejection letter from the job interview which I was expecting but still stung none-the-less.Emergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0 -
Hi Housework*Fairy,
Really missing your updates on my mobile! How are things? We are also trying to pay for a school trip, my husband has some work we think we finally may get it paid up by next weekend, deadline is 1st June!0 -
Shall be starting a new diary when I do my financial update when I work up the enthusiasm to do something about it. These debts aren't going to pay themselves off, god knows I've waited long enough for a lovely lump sum to find its way into my lap!
Not even going to think about the whole total, just going to start with the small ones and work my way upEmergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0 -
