in Water bills
new to the forum so this might have been said , we just moved into our new property changed all the bills etcetc got one back from severn trent saying that they are fitting a meter to the property, we have not requsted or wont this installed , any advice would be appreciated thanks p.s they are saying they R DONG IT AND THATS IT

Welcome to the forum.
On change of occupant water companies can(and should) fit a meter - this was authorised in the Water Privatisation Act of Parliament - and you have no say in the matter(if you want water!!!)
Some companies didn't enforce that provision, other did. Now it seem that more companies are doing as they should, and fitting meters.0 -

What advice would you like ?
You are getting a meter and that is the end of that..Use less water and remember to read your meter once a month to start with is about the best I can come up with.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

a meter can be a good thing it was for me, my water bill used to be £560 per year now its £120 per yaar on a meter0
