Do Not Use Madasafish Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Options
madasafish stink

please please please do not use this awful company for your internet needs

their idea of customer service leaves a lot to be desired imagine wanting to spent some quality time with your poorly 3yo only to be on the telephone to a surly female south african office manager (yes they have a call centre in sa)
for 2 hours on a sunday afternoon - not my idea of quality time is it yours??

over 100 emails and 20 phone calls later.......................

i have just launched proceedings against them for the full refund of £117 (they stole 80 from my tesco credit card without my consent also) from march last year when i was unfortunate to first contact them they have not and cannot provide me with any service whatsoever and i am very very very dissapointed that they have recieved such glowing reports here on this excellent site

they are bad news please please stay clear for your own sanity

  • Probably glowing reports because all there employees have created a MSE accounts. I have heard a few things about this company recently.
    Whether we win or lose,
that we played at all was a winning decision. :D
    2011 wins £12,292
    2012 wins ...
Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A
  • Hi All eBayed Out,

I'm the only Madasafish employee who posts on these boards. We do not encourage anyone else in the company to post and to be honest I don't think anyone really has the spare time to post anyway.

From my participation in forums I always think it's pretty obvious when a company has recruited people to post on their behalf. I think that if you have a look through the Madasafish thread in the ISP section you'll find good and bad stuff about us.

On MSE if you ever see a post that you think is spammy or you think that it's a post from a company trying to manipulate public opinion in an underhanded way I would encourage you to get in contact with the board moderators. When this happens to a forum group it devalues it for everyone.

    Kind regards,
    Samara

I've got to stick up for Madasafish.
I've been using them for 9 months and their service has been utterly flawless.
And no, I am not affiliated with them in any way.

  • I've been with madasafish for years now and have stuck with them as I have never had any problems and they have always been incredibly helpful. Sounds like the OP might have had some bad luck but they are not a bad company.

And I don't work for them!
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."
  • I use Madasafish, my only gripe is your usage limit includes any uploaded files, which Nildram didn't, so my average usage has gone from 3.8Gb to 5ish Gb, may risk Sky BB in May when my contracts up.
  • I have recently joined MAAF and have only had good service so far.

Well, I'd like to criticize them.

I think that the OP may have tried to leave Madasafish, which is what I tried to do in October. They gave me a mac, but then said that I would be charged for the next month anyway. I rang back when that mac expired and the same thing happened. They told me that I needed to give them thirty days notice (this had not been mentioned in the previous phone call).

I ended up staying with them for an extra three months and losing about half a month's usage at the end of it. A fantastic scam by an otherwise good company. I had no problems with them throughout the 12 months but the T&Cs they created really catch you out.
  • If the T&C's stated you had to give 30 days notice (as most ISP's these days do) then the information is there and people are told to read the T&C's before signing up with anyone.

I would imagine the reason why the payments would of continued was that if you didn't use the MAC (which as you state you didn't) it would of left them in a position with no payment for the time you were using. - You can't blame then for "costing you an extra three months" if you failed to use the MAC in the 30 days it was valid.

I would hope that upon migration, any money that covered an unused portion of the month would of been returned to yourself? Don't know if Samara could shed any light on this?
