No, lol, no hamsters in this house :rotfl: (can't stand hamsters! evil little !!!!!!s! any other kind of rodent - no problem, but not hamsters! lol)

    Magnum Plecs

Otherwise known as an L047 - a species of catfish. Mine is about 4 inches long and is called Monty :D usually we don't see him at all, and if we do it's after 10pm (fishies lights out time), but just recently he's been coming out at all hours of the day.

    Tomorrow's todo list
[Strike]Dentists - NHS exemptions so no spend there :)
Grocery shopping - list prepared (max £45)
Butcher - list prepared (max £25, inc. cat food)
Veggies - from market while butcher is doing their thing (max £10)
Pick up glasses - hopefully my headaches will stop once I'm wearing them
    Wilkinsons/Home Bargains - Toiletries etc (max £15)
    Bank - pay cheques in
Ring OU - need to book onto Residential School in July (and then diarise the date to book train tickets in advance)[/Strike] bookings not open yet
[strike]Place online grocery order for 9th - going to try Sainsbury's this month and see what it's like, I've got a voucher for £10 off, going to see if I can combine it with the £10 off voucher code off Quidco. Not convinced it'll work, but I'm going to give it a go![/strike] I tried, it wouldn't let me *sulk* but I got free delivery and £10 off plus whatever cashback tracks back to Quidco, so I guess I can't complain :D

[strike]Only job for today is finding the PIN for my bank card so I can draw cash out to pay the milkman and buy the veggies.[/strike] searched everywhere. No luck. Tomorrow I shall be ringing for a new pin!

Morrisons (bread, cheese etc) - £25.02
Wilkinsons (toiletries, batteries, seeds) - £16.37
    Eggs - 88p
    Veg - £7.89

Total grocery spend: £50.16 (£60 budget)

Butcher (inc cat food): £25.50 (£25 budget)

Quite happy with that :) the gammon joint I bought was larger than I had planned, but that means it'll do 4 meals instead of 2. I also bought the biggest chicken they had so that will do 3 meals instead of 2.

I also paid 2 cheques in. One of them is only for £1.02 so I'm going to pretend I didn't get it and put it in the OP pot. Every little helps and all that! :rotfl:

Now I'm going to ring OU :)

OK, so I just bought a pair of red curtains for Lumpy's bedroom: £16.99. Went via Nectar to get the points, obviously :D and it's offered me the toolbar to get points while you search - anyone else used/using this? Any insight?

Where is today going? It's 1pm already!

I've just spent a while downloading the first few journal articles I need in addition to my core textbook reading, and have put them on my phone to read when convenient. I've also done various other preparatory things for studying, all of which probably amount to a large amount of procrastination on my part. Must nip that in the bud now! Need to pull out all the stops for this module - Grade 1 pass here I come!

Now it's lunchtime and I don't know what to have... perhaps leftovers from last night. Effort free and allows maximum time for folding washing (more procrastination :rotfl:)... nah, I will get some reading done.

Must remember to place the order for that textbook with 25% off code tomorrow...

*wanders off with brain turning to mush*

PS. If you thought I've waffled so far, you're in for a big treat once I start my module properly! It'll be largely unrelated to mf stuff I suspect, but I will make an effort to stay on topic sometimes! Today we were offered Christmas week on my parents boat... I turned it down on the basis that with 3 weddings to attend this year (1 of which will require car hire), plus a week away for residential school in July, plus the holiday we already have booked in August, our budget is pretty stretched and I don't think we can afford the travelling costs to get there :( shame really, as actually staying there would be free. Meh.
