Feeling really drained and achey today. Really hoping I'm not coming down with this bug the kids have had.
Anyway, I thought you might like to see the cake so far but I'm really struggling to upload a picture to Photobucket from my phone so I'll take one with my camera later and upload it via the computer so you guys can see

When is the party?
And you need to buy a bathroom by Tuesday, my goodness, I can't make a decision that quickly about something I have to live with for a long time; I usually end up regretting it.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

LOL I have already looked at bathrooms and have a couple in mind that I like in a local showroom. Assuming I'm not feeling too pap on Monday I'm going to bob over and speak to the fellas there about it.
Anyways, here's the cake:

Heh, thanks

I'm pleased with it.
I did make a cake for a friend's birthday in September... but there wasn't fancy icing, just rum soaked cranberries and white chocolate! That was the first time any one has asked me to do them a cake though.
I make a point of making the kids birthday cakes every year - I didn't used to in the past, but they taste so much nicer, I can tailor them to the theme, plus they're infinitely cheaper - I already had everything in my cupboard to make this cake, so it's cost me nothing extra.
Daft thing is, out of my friends who make cakes, I'm definitely not one of the skilled ones! I've one friend who makes them as a second job and hers are *amazing* and three more who are way better than me - sparkly cakes, lettering, multiple tiers, all sorts!
Anyway, thanks ladies
