had no fridge for over 2 years, eat value noodles as a main meal. walk several miles to next town when hair needs cutting as its the cheapest place i can find, sleep on a floor, have no friends and social life etc etc already. have not claimed the half of things i could claim - recently paid 10 quid to attend an interview (didnt claim back) havent whined to them about having no fridge etc, dont claim rent orcouncil tax benefit, pay it out of my dole etc etc..am seriously worried about what dire straits I will be in if they ask me for hundreds or thousands back not to mention hwo i will cope as a senior citizen
I am so glad to hear that you have finally got a job Reverbe. :j Well done you! :T
I can't believe how long you have been sleeping on your flatmate's floor...it must be at the very least four years since you first mentioned it in your posts, and as for living without a fridge, I just don't know how you manage it.
Despite your meagre diet, at least you can still manage the fares and tickets to see your beloved fulham play, so it's not been all bad.
Re having to pay back hundreds and thousands, that's unlikely to happen if you've played by the rules as you say you've done during the years that you were unemployed. So try not to worry.
If you have a look at Martin's guide here you might find that you are entitled to more help than you are already receiving.
Good luck in your new job!

Thank you Pink but I woudnt get too excited. I know I"m not that happy about it.its a crappy job only part time for xmas and its probably on minimum wage.Little chance of more hours either. I also hear its a very bad store/company to work for. Staff turnover is high and they expect you to work over an hr after store closure??!!
Have actually been on floor now 10-12 or so years. the fridge thihg does tick me off tho as cannot buy more than small milk, it costs more in time and money in having to replace every day things that would last a week, all leftovers have to be eaten pdq, cant take as much advantage of offers and whoopsies as no freezer either etc etc.
Thanks for the heads up re Martins advice. will check it out later as am currently filling in more job applications
