Hi Guys ,I have been trawling these pages for some time looking at various comments about the coverage you are likely to get OR NOT with three.
I am totally undecided what to do ,i have cancelled my three mobiles with Orange and am currently serving the thirty days notice period. The deals on offer with Three are far better than any other provider for the phone we want, but the concensus of poor coverage is making me think again, any views or help from anyone in the Nottingham area would be a help,

Have you tried their coverage checker/map?

  • Since you might be taking out a contract with them. Why not pop into a Three Store and pick up a PAYG SIM before signing up? That way you can place it in your phone (assuming it is unlocked) and you'll be able to get an idea of the coverage at the places that you normally visit.

I'd always say that this small investment in a SIM is much better than being stuck in a contract for a long period without coverage.

I used to go to John Pye Auctions and do deliveries all over Nottingham to various builders merchants. Can't say I ever noticed a problem.
  • My GF has recently gone with 3 and we live in the nottingham area.

The 3g signal with 3 is a bit random to be honest. Sometimes its full signal but for some reason in the city centre it can often struggle to hold the 3g.

Probably best to get a PAYG sim and test in your area of nottingham
  • I always had a good signal in most places including the Nottingham area (my area!). I moved to O2/giffgaff and only get a 2g signal in lots of places my iPad has a strong 3G signal on Three. I wish I'd never ported (especially as I lost an excellent lifetime retention deal)
