Bank of Baroda are a Bank in the UK and will open an account with cheque book and visa debit card without a "credit check"
They will still verify your identity using Call Credit Credit reference agency and transactions cannot be made using internet banking

Yorkshire Building Society will open a Link cashcard account without a "credit check" (but may perform an ID check via a CRA)

Coventry Building Society used to offer a CallSave-MoneyManager account with VISA debit card , but withdrew the account - however the application link is working so you could try to apply for that account

Most banks have basic accounts that don't need good credit - think they still check for ID purposes but that's it. natwest, co-operative and RBS spring to mind.Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

You can still be declined for all of these for a variety of reasons.
Bankruptcy, a history of fraud, unpaid debts within the same company are obvious ones.0 -
I had really bad credit and I opended a Natwest step account. Basically you can't have an overdraft, cheque book etc but over time and if you manage your account well you should be able to upgrade it.0

Metro bank offers basic bank account with no credit checks. You get a debit card and online banking. No charges at all.:T£100 into £10000 challenge. Getting there 1150/10000!!!!!:j0
