Please take a quick survey on this parking signage

Peoples, friends, countrymen.... a call to arms.

I have a short (3 minute) survey on a particular piece of car park signage I'd really like response to.

Can anyone please insert the URL here as my permissions won't let me?

Thanks

    Done.

Btw, the sign contains sufficient detail and the important parts are at the top: Hours of operation followed by prices. The question would be whether larger signs on entry (visible to a moving driver) indicate that the car park is pay and display and you should hunt down a machine.
  • Personally I would have preferred to have the terms and conditions on a separate board as it distracts from the pricing structure.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Thanks for posting the URL. So far the results are interesting

I think we would be far better campaigning against penalty's, it would appear they constitute summary justice, trial and sentence by authority with no right of defence.
    They are against international law.
Judges have decided penalty's are NOT fines so they are not subject to constitutions law such as bill of rights and you have no right to court.
However they can not have both ways.
So it must be summary justice then ?
    In a democracy ?
Trial and sentence by authority with no right to innocence ?
    Hardly freedom that is it.
And now they are been expanded at an alarming rate these summary justice penalty's, some councils are now even dishing them out for walking your dog on a pavement .

    Remember you have a trailer!

I have an idea of the correct charge, but I wouldn't bet my grandmother on it.
  • 60p - one 30p ticket for the car, plus one for the trailer.

If I found a car park that cheap I would pay for an hour in any case. Plus another hour for the trailer. So £1.20.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

I tow a trailer reguarly, it's normal to pay for two spaces if you're using two.

They don't like to use the F-word, Free that is.

Whilst the meaning is clear, if you read it carefully two or three times, it is a typical example of sloppy writing, which should have been checked before going to the signwriters

The wording and lack of the F-word, probably ensures that some people pay on Sundays.

    I would have put:-

    Charges Apply

Mondays to Fridays ( including Bank Holidays ) 8.00AM to 6.00PM
    Saturdays 8.00AM to 12.00 Noon

    Free

Sundays, Christmas Day and New Years Day

Why the ONLY after Up to 30 minutes and the 'or' after 30p

The maximum rate is 60p per hour which drops to 50p per hour for up to 4 hours or 30 per per hour for the maximum chargeable period of 10 hours. However after 4 hours you are not allowed to pay at the rate of 60p per hour to extend your stay, Contravention 84.

You then have to leave for an hour before starting again otherwise it's Contravention 90.

The sign doesn't confirm if the per day is until 23.59 or 24 hours from purchase.

I would have thought the including Blue Badge Holders should have been in red as well Charges Apply to all users
