Item possibly being sent to the wrong address

Options
I've had my eye on a coat from the Bench Outlet on ebay and my OH decided to treat me to it on Saturday evening. He gave me his login details to order it.

He's just checked his emails this morning and seen that I have had it sent to our old address! (He had added the new address but not deleted the old one and I didn't notice so we're both numptys!)

Have emailed Bench through my OH's ebay account as the item hasn't been dispatched yet and asked them if they can send it to the new address. But they sell over 5000 items a month so I doubt they'll read the message before they dispatch the coat.

If they do dispatch to the old address (which we no longer have access to, not even sure if anyone has moved in yet), could we open a INR even though it's our fault?

Bench probably use some sort of business tracking or a courier so they should be able to track it to the address they were given, which means you would quite rightly lose an INR.

Even if they don't track can't you ask the people living at your old address to either refuse the package or take it in so you can collect. I think that would be much better than making a very dodgy claim when you know it is your fault.

Can't you phone them, in the hope that they can amend the details before they post, or cancel that order & re-order it to come to the correct address?

If they don't reply to my email I will pop round there to see if anyone does live there, luckily it's only the other side of the village!

so you order an item to the wrong address
then expect the seller to refund you
    thats what you are proposing
and you cannot see anything wrong with that, regardless of whether its possible?
