Mobile Provider Help! Minimum Term Nightmare

Hi
I am moving into a flat for about 6-9 months, however I am having a nightmare finding cheap broadband for the flat.
I do not have a phone line yet, the broadband must be ADSL, and to ther terms above.
I tried O2 but as my bank account is not registered to the address (and nor do I want it to for the short term of the contract) they will not touch me, PlusNet I have had very bad experiences with in the past, others (such as Be) are too expensive with phone line.
What is going to be the best all-in-one solution?
Cheers

First check which ISP's are available at your exchange
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search
Post Office will install a new line for £60(current offer) no minimum term then you can add your ISP of choice, plenty of monthly contracts available for broadband.
Price varies according to exchange availability and usage habits.
BT will install a line on the Unlimited weekend plan for £30 subject to an 18 month contract and 10 calls per month but the early termination fee is £2.50 per month remaining.
Virgin Media do a 9 month contract
http://shop.virginmedia.com/bundles/students.html?buspart=Portal_HP_3_1_29
Expect to pay an activation fee for Broadband around £50 for no contract and a termination fee around £30 when leaving.
It may pay to take a 12 month contract if the price is good and paying off the remainder when you leave.
You may find this a stumbling block as the supplier may run a credit check which is probably why "O2 wouldn't touch me".I tried O2 but as my bank account is not registered to the address (and nor do I want it to for the short term of the contract) they will not touch me,
Why can't you change the address for the bank?
How will you receive any communication from the bank if it goes to your old address?0 -
If it's broadband you want, AND it's available at your exchange, AND you are very near to it so as to be able to get the service, AND you're not bothered about phone calls then you could pick BE as the supplier. They can set the line up for you though it would be wires only, no calls, without a credit check and terms are month to month. There is (or used to be) a tickbox at signup which says "Do not perform a credit check" or similar.0
