Three: Pay Monthly - Higher First Bill?
Hi,
I signed up the one plan with Three on a £35 a month deal. When I signed up, the confirmation screen said you will be charged £0 upfront costs and £35 will be debited from your account each month.
I receive the phone promptly and a week later I receive a message from Three saying "your first bill is going to be £40. This is nothing to worry about, it's just the additional cost of signing you up to our network, all subsequent months will be charged at whatever you agreed to pay in the contract."
Is this standard? Did they say this before I signed up? Or would I expect to find it in the very small 'small print' ? Only an additional fiver but appears a bit under hand. Can anyone shed some light on this please?
Thanks

Yes, this is normal for the first bill to be bigger because the billing month starts at a different day.
It's not an extra charge. First time you just pay for, say, 35 days instead of 30.0
