lolWhat goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Be very very wary of things like this! The reason you didn't have to put your credit card in is because what you've just done is applied for a credit account. This means that Empire are now searching your credit record. You should recieve a letter from them soon telling you whether you've been accepted or not.
Isn't this wonderful? They search your credit record without you reasliing it.
It's not nice to have a credit search marked on your record without really asking for one. beware.
I tried to recieve a freebie from another catalogue (actually it may have been empire) and this the same thing happened. So I'm pretty certain the same is true here.
What alarms me though is that this means ANYBODY with you details can apply for a credit account and have your credit record search. This damages your credit rating.0 -

If your worried about credit checks, select pay by credit card just above when you put in your address details. I did, ordered something for £10.99, just got confirmation and credit card charged 99p, free gift on the way. Theres little chance of the order being rejected as you have already paid for it.0

Man you are like 'counting the teeth of a donated cow', as an old proverb from kerala statesRemind people that profit is the difference between revenue and expense. This makes you look smart0 -
How does anyone ever order anything from Empire Stores? I have tried three times to register as a new customer - I don't even get as far as putting my address details in, it just asked me for my e-add and says they'll be in touch... then nothing...
Am I missing something obvious?? :mad:I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Nope ! Empire send you the goods free of charge and you have something like 14 or 21 days to decide if you want to keep them or not.
If you keep them then they'll send you an invoice for payment. I just pay with CC over the phone.
TIP: If your unsure about sizes or colours of items, just buy all of them & return the stuff you don't want. P&P is free.0 -
