  • Not much progress with the list today. Doing a baby sale tomorrow so had to run into town and get replacement batteries for all the toys that have run out. Why do kids toys take so many different kinds of batteries? Also had to split some notes so I've got plenty of change but might have to go and get more.

Just going to prepare dinner and that will be my lot for today I think. Looking forward to Strictly tonight:j

Friday - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
[STRIKE]Check fire alarms are working[/STRIKE] They sure are! They go off every time I boil water:mad:
[STRIKE]Remove and wash bed linen.[/STRIKE] Did at weekend
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
[STRIKE]Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen.. do you need that winter duvet yet?[/STRIKE] Done at weekend
    15 minutes floordrobe clearance
    Level 3
[STRIKE]Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing[[/STRIKE] Did on Wednesday with DDs room and bathroom - no point dragging hoover up three times for such a tiny bit of floor!
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
[STRIKE]HH Me time - whatever you like - soak in a bath - get your nails done etc.[/STRIKE] Read a cooking magazine
    [/COLOR] Extras
    • Time for that Friday fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Put away those summer clothes from someones cupboard and get out the winter woollies.. don’t store anything that is past its best! Make a list of things you need to buy!!
    • clean out that airing cupboard!!!!!! get rid of those things you don't need.. use dead towels as cleaning cloths etc.. be ruthless!!!! you REALLY don't need that 'thing' you've saved for 10 years.. 'just in case' Def need to do this!
    • Check house for places where draughts are getting in.. doors, windows etc and see if there are ways to stop it!

    Plus:

    [STRIKE]Wash and dry a load
    Put away shopping when delivered[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Do accounts[/STRIKE]
    Quick wipe of kitchen
    Prepare dinner for tonight
  • Nearly sliced the top of my left middle finger off doing the sodding recycling. _pale_

Normally, I don't have to think about it and stuff just does in without faffing around. But this time, because they've changed everything, I ended up nearly losing it on a tin edge reaching in to move them around into the other box.

I am NOT doing a Tony Iommi.

    Upstairs loo is clean now.

    Upstairs all vacuumed.

One set of my curtains has been 'fluffed' up - I drew the threads too tight, so had to release them. I shall have to find some more curtain rings to match in a shop, so that I can get more fabric to the side of the window, as they look a bit stingy compared to Minion's, which look wonderful.

Bedlinen waiting to go on the bed. Thinking of dying my hair tonight/tomorrow, so will have to dig out darkest blue/teal stuff instead of the pale blue, I think.

It's 82 degrees in the darkest corner of the house. I can't begin to imagine how hot it is out the front today. But the grass out the back has now dried as the sun got round there and I have a cat apparently unconscious under the board seat between the raised beds.

Have resurrected the clothes airer and there is a load drying on that in the garden. Have also moved some annoying plant related gumpf and decided that I would really rather like some ice cold beer round about NOW.

I really need to do a huge supermarket shop, but I'm trying to delay it so much, I'm running out of everything at the worst possible moment.

I was also thinking along those lines but didn't want anyone to think I was criticising their choices - but if PTA people are going to make such tactless comments about things that are actually none of their business I think they need to be put firmly in their place. Much like these people who feel it perfectly alright to ask a childlesss lady if/when she's going to start a family.

Yes, I know what you mean - I dont have anything against the mums who dont work - I just dont see why some of them have to look down their noses at those who do....

Anyway - home from working on my day off :(

Best do something productive, although Id much rather sit in the sunshine... :D

Good news piggers, Hello Toots and LL xx

Piggers so pleased he's home, enjoy that much deserved rest

Sorry I keep meaning to post I read a bit then it's off to do something else

I have however been extremely busy, puppy comes a week today. We've been clearing out and getting new furniture for the boys room. They've chosen to have bunks, then a wardrobe/desk wall. Several items now gone, started building wardrobes which are now usable just need doors on so have started to refill them. They mean the boys will have their own organised in a way they are happy with and DS1 has already started putting his things away tonight without fuss.

Downside is now nothing more will get built until Monday due to work for DP and I'm booked to take the boys out both weekend days, he's out Sunday so next week it'll be full speed ahead. This is what is left to do (plus daily stuff) before pupsicle comes

    Fill wardrobes
Build centre wardrobe for desk to go in
    Finish edges on flooring
    Sort kitchen Inc clearing floor
    Mow lawn
    Get rid of DS1s bed
    Build bunk beds
    Sort shed
Sort through 12 boxes (put any I don't get done temp in shed)

Must go, need to find the tickets for tomorrow I've misplaced again!!!

Another pic of little woof, his name will be Diesel. He's an Alaskan malamute and is red rather than the more common grey

    All excited :)

I'm totally shathered today and nothing has been done in the house for a few days and to be honest nothing will be done until tomorrow. OH is relapsing and i'm waiting on the HTT to ring, i don't forsee too much sleep tonight. I feel a very full and stressful week coming my way..:(

Right i better go and empty the dw and reload, at least there will be clean dishes in the morning.

Hope everyone has a good weekend xx
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
