    It does look misleading.

Maybe if the bit about not containing the CD's had been BIG TYPE then it might have been more noticeable. Have you got the original Cd's and DVD?

And the postage seems a bit high for just a cardboard wallet.

Maybe if you think about it from his point of view you can see why he might be a bit miffed.

Certainly looks like it, look at the last item in the feedback

I would hazard a guess that bidder 4 is the same as the multiple bidder on this U2 auction.

you could be right...Bidder 4 has 100% of their bids with the seller...with 14 bids in Music Memorobilia......;)

    on the wallet auction,

that "bidder" was making bids at around 01.45am on 5 Jan...

the seller added the extra info about no cd's at 01.51am on 5 Jan...

    ;)

Looks like OP has clearly conned the buyer. He cant state it includes both cd's and DVD and then give track listing, then to add in small print a few days later they are not included.

You either have to give him the disks or his money back, and expect a neg feedback

You listed the item saying it includes the 3 CD's....and even listed the tracks...

You added those extra few words at the bottom 3 days later, which changed the whole item completely. If it was already in peoples watch lists before you added that, they would not be expecting the item to go from 3cds, to NO cd's.

You already had bids on the item before adding that all important piece of info...and by that time the bids were already higher than just for an empty wallet, judging by an average of what the empty wallets go for

The item sold for the price that the others fetch including the cd's.....

hmmm....could be a shill bid going on there as well....

i agree that karmaimages is in the wrong and should refund or get the cd's but is it because the other bidder had only 1 feedback that you think there was shill bidding happening? people are always quick to judge and report, and in most cases they are banned until this gets resolved and most of the time for nothing!! yet the people who rip you off for hundreds of pounds get away with it, this has happened to me and i refuse to use ebay or paypal anymore.

no its because the person with 1 feedback has previously received 3 positive feedbacks from that same seller...

i have had some very bad happenings on ebay what with people not paying and trying to rip you off, etc but the biggest one was when we sold our car about 1 and a half years ago, the guy who bought it sent us emails asking directions and even paid through paypal,he came collected the car signed logbook and went away happy!

then 3 months later i went on ebay to find paypal had tried to take the money from our account and ebay wanting fees again,
someone had said they had read there credit card statement and noticed this money had disappeared and got a chargeback!!!!!!! so my hubby went to bank who couldn't believe it either, i sent ebay and paypal about 20 emails each which took a week to answer and that was to say that this man had used chargeback, i told them to contact the dvla and sort it out has he had signed the logbook they were not interested, now a year and a half later and the people from the collection dept are still phoning us to ask when we are paying, we just tell them to take us to court has we have all correspondence with the person who bought the car, dvla, paypal and ebay but nothing happens.we even went to the mans house but he either isn't in or won't answer the door.

    very annoying
needless to say i don't use ebay anymore, sorry for long post but some people should not judge others so quickly

I sold one of the U2 cd wallets on ebay last week and donated the proceeds to a charity at work.

I sent the wallet to the guy on friday and he got it today, but he wants the Cd's and dvd's that go with it. I originally forgot to add that the auction didn't include the cd's or dvd, so i edit my acution before he placed his bid and added this:

On 05-Jan-07 at 01:51:30 GMT, seller added the following information:

Please note this is just the wallet :)

He then placed his first bid at 05-Jan-07 16:03:08 GMT

This was after i added the edit to the listing, he's now getting shitry because he didn't read the listing properly, i have told him it was his responsability to read all the information on the listing.

    What should i do next?

You should refund in full and add some extra for trying to con the bidder.
You were deliberately misleading, if you knew you didn't have the cd's or dvd why go to the trouble of listing the tracks on each cd and dvd in the first place??? I think you knew full well you were going to change the listing once you had some bids knowing that most people won't go back and check an auction for changes. IMO you should have informed the bidders of a change to the listing.

Added you to blocked list too, don't want to be duped by you in the future.

I am going to list a brand new Porsche 911 on ebay and then later put a little comment on the listing saying that it is a Dinky model of a Porsche 911.:D

Give the man his money back NOW.

Even if you did not deliberately set out to deceive, your actions have led him to believe that he was bidding on the CDs and DVD and the only decent thing to do is to refund his money.

Your actions imitate the actions of ebay scammers who prey on the innocent and trusting bidder.

You would be very !!!!!! off if it were the other way round.
