Smart phones do a lot of processing, so they do eat up battery power. I charge mine every other day.0

I am having to charge every day. I thought it was because I was using it alot trying to find out exactly what this phone does.0

I had the battery draining from the moment I started using my htc wildifre - basically drains very quickly with internet usage.
The only tips I can offer are to dim the backlight when you are in a well lit area (dimmed does not work when you are out in the sunshine, you can't see nothing then but if you are indoors, dim it). Reduce volume too, turn off keytones, turn off viberation alert etc. Use task killer apps to autoshutdown on start any unwanted apps.
Any apps that auto connect to the internet periodically - turn them of if you can live without them - like gmail checking emails, navigation etc.
And next time get a cheap basic phone :-) - can't see the point of smartphones if they drain like this but the internet is better on them I guess.0 -
I charge mine every 24-36 hours and don't use it much - 2 friends say the same so looks like it is 'normal'. I have chargers at home, work, car etc...0

have you tried any of the tips on this page to extend your battery life?

As others have mentioned, it depends on how hard and long you use it, I get 4-5 days out of mine but it's not my main handset.0 -
An extreme method but a way I found that extended my old wildfires battery life, but you could install a custom rom like CyanogenMod7.03 this will give you ability to underclock the processor and remove the bloat add by your network provider.
But beware it is an extreme method it will invalidate your warranty, install instructions can be found here

Are you generally in a poor network coverage area? The phone will use far more power trying to hold onto a weak signal.0
