Aagh! Sunday Mirror;s Morissons £10 voucher only takes £3 off!!!

just back from tesco where they gave me £3 off, went to cs but they said they could not give me any more off. but they did take my £5 from today's mail off in addition.

Just incase anybody who's interested has found this thread since it got moved I'm happy to report that I successfully used my Morrisons £10 voucher for the full amount at my local Tesco.
I already had to go to CS over another matter so I had them check whether I would be able to use the Sunday Mirror voucher ok as I'd been told it only scanned at £3. CS checked it and sure enough it scanned at £3. CS assistant asked her supervisor who in turn had to get the ok from the duty manager.
I got the impression nobody had tried to use the M's voucher at this particular store previously. Or perhaps the staff were good actors
Anyway manager authorised it's use so got £10 off plus £5 Daily Mail voucher off plus £4 off till spit from last shop. Needed supervisor's intervention at the till to over-ride the £3 to £10 but they were happy to do it.

Utterly ridiculous and wrong info by Tesco CS (why am I not surprised?)! Tesco owe you £7 as you handed them a legit voucher with a contract written on it for them to deduct a tenner from your bill.

When Tesco accept a competitors' spend voucher they take it as a loss-leader - they DO NOT recoup the flippin money from Morrisons! :rotfl:

Ring the main HO again and speak to someone with a brain who can understand the difference between that loss-leader voucher and a 'money off coupon' where they do recoup the money from manufacturers.

And if a store ever says they don't accept other stores' 'spend & save vouchers like these, ask them to look at the pretty pics of such vouchers in their cashiers' manual and explain why spend & save vouchers appear under a heading 'we accept these'. And ask them to try pressing the 'vouchers/coupons' then 'competitors' spend' icon (near the bottom of the list) on one of their new Tesco tills - and then explain to you why there's a list of other stores then displayed...including Morrisons...?!
