questions re: costco.... is it worth the membership fee for meat etc

and could i get a card using my business card?

    Hi, membership details here

    http://www.costco.co.uk/Membership_home/Trade_memship/trade_membership.htm

The above is for trade membership - they have a different type of membership for induviduals (and I think the opening hours are shorter too)

IME there are some things (for us loo roll, tinned tomatoes and batteries!) that make it worth the membership fee. The meat is good quality but not "cheap" iykwim... They do send out discount vouchers every now and again.

Our only problem is that if we go we can't take the kids, as we can't fit them and the purchases in the car :rotfl: for the last few months we haven't had anyone that we could ask - it is a shame :(

ETA - NSD yesterday, today 67p on a pack of buttons to bribe DD3 as she was not cooperating (was shouting all the time, we are trying to encourage her to talk - not quite so forcefully or loudly though!)

    Hi all

Ive been away a few months (not keeping track, LO had his bday, we been away, you get the idea)

But after coming back from our holiday on fri and seen how much we spent the shock was very much shocking, so food shop for next month will be as little as i can get away with and very harsh.

Mr A has just been and £38.75 was the total, I will start this as Nov thou as otherwise it will be cheating even thou still near enough week of oct.

Hopefully I should just need top ups of milk, bread and fruit.....that's the plan anyways.

Quick question, what bin bags do people use, I've been using some cheap ones but they are useless and I've promised OH i will buy some different ones once they run out......any suggestions please

Also is there a good budgeting spreadsheet I can download does anyone know.....we need to get this ship in order or we will sink VERY SOON and FAST

    Thanks

Hi everyone, hope all is well.

NSD today :j, think in total ive managed about 8 of these but strictly speaking I was on holiday for 5 of these. Spent £14.00 yesterday in Sainsbobs so i'm exactly on budget as today is my last day. DH gets paid tomorrow so i'd like to declare £229.15 for October. Going to think about my November budget and post that on the November board. Im really pleased I managed to stick to it and ive learnt quite alot about how I shop. Definitley thought id' manage more NSD but found that alot more difficult. Even though we were away I bought quite a bit of snacky food to take with us that came out of the budget and also a few bits for the store cupboard and Christmas. Anyway onwards and upwards x

  • Hi all, Shopping day today and I think I've done OK (probably only because I'm eating out of the freezer as it is in dire need of a defrost so trying to epty that). £520 a month = £120 a week, but as there are 5 Tuesdays this month I need really to keep it as close to £100 as possible. Spends today are:

    Mr T - £69.85
    Lidl - £12.63
    Mr S (DH) - £2.66 & £4.18

    TOTAL £89.34

There shouldn't be an awful lot to get at the end of the week, maybe just a loaf of bread and that's it, so I'm on track :j.

    Hi all,

Spent just short of £39 on App food delivery - loads of bits for Christmas, and enough shampoo and conditioner to keep even my daughter happy:rotfl:

I,m not going to order again from them this year though, great for storing up on lunchbox bits, but I am just spending for the sake of it most of the time and the cupboards are bulging - they do appear to be selling alot more junk food than before.

Liver and bacon casserole for dinner, not my favorite but thought i,d taken sausages out of the freezer:rotfl::rotfl:

It,s raining SO hard here I can barely see out of the window:eek:

Have a fab evening all xx

Made a note of new targets to here

Rainy-Days - I'm really sorry for missing you off the list on the first page - I don't know how I missed you - many apologies, I'll add you now if you let me know what your budget was.

    Question

Would everyone like me to add your total spends [when you declare at the end of the month] to the first page, beside your budget i.e Helen jelly £310/£300 - my target was £310 and I spent £300, its no hassle for me to do this, you are able to look back and see what you spent in any given month - MrsM may not want to continue with this when she comes back but I'm happy to do it however it would be easier if it was for everyone rather than for some - up to you!!!! Let me know your thoughts please :]
