<sneaks back in after being awol for two weeks >
Well I've got no excuse for not posting, just haven't been in the mood. Guess it gets like that sometimes, but, keeping this diary has been a real help on the journey, so I'm not quite ready to ditch it yet
.
In the last couple of weeks, I've made a payment of £25 to the target card (that's £22 min + £3 overpayment ), checked the bank account intermitently (it's looking ok-ish), prepped a couple of mealplans but not kept to them particularly welland completed one survey . Oh, and I got the cheque from work for my missing pay :T.
I still need to sort DDs rent and actually update my spreadsheet.
So that's the quick update, I'll be back later with some more ponderings and plans for the rest of the month.

Hi Bonnington, thanks for posting
.
I've not been very good at posting lately, have I? In fact, I haven't really done much reading of the diaries either. I'm feeling really down with the whole mess at the moment, and even though I'm doing what needs to be done debt-wise, the effort of planning, doing, scrimping and putting a brave face on is really wearing
:(.
I hate being like this. I'm usually an optimistic person....somehow I need to extract myself from this pity-party and get going again. So, it's going to be small steps to get going again - just writing that helps.
The target card statement was available yesterday, and it now stands at £721.88. I'm going to be making a payment of £33.69 on Friday when my pay arrives and this will FINALLY bring it under £700 by a few pennies.

yay to you getting the CC finally below £700
And don't worry about going awol every now and then, main thing is you haven't thrown the towel in and given up. I've also been slack on my diary lately but have decided need to get back into coming on every day it really does keep me on trackand i've had a bad few months money wise with no tenants in my house etc so had to pull purse strings very tight (nicking alice's dfd title there lol)
Hope you're ok thoughxx

Hi DFW, thanks for popping in and cheering me along, it's very much appreciated
.
I thought I'd just make a note of the (little things) I've done today to remind myself that I am making progress.
So today I have:
- joined the 100 day challengers again
- done a freezer & cupboard audit and see that we have a decent stockpile
- semi-prepped a mealplan for the week (just need OH to check as he's the cook
)
- downloaded the e6ay app so that I can investigate listing via my phone
- decluttered a bagfull of rubbish and convinced DD1 to check through her wardrobe for stuff to donate/e6ay
- caught up on some diaries and subscribed to some of the OS boards

Hi Been, just a quick post as I am posting from my phone. It's lovely to see you :'June 16 Mortgage Amount £82,896.15

Thanks Bonnington.
So yesterday we needed to top up the cupboards. The budget was £45, which I had hoped to use just in Aldi, but we also needed a few bits from T3sc0 that we can't get/don't like from Aldi which was just ham and other sandwich stuff for the rest of the week. Spend in Tesco = £12, spend in Aldi = £40, so we were over by £7. How is it that you get barely eight items from MrT for £12, but a trolley load from Aldi for £40???
I was pleased with my efforts at Aldi though - I prepped a list before going and also noted all the prices, so it was quick and easy and matched the mealplan for the week:) .
It's payday on Friday :T...three more days.
We need to put some petrol in the car on the way home tonight, I think £20 should be enough until Friday...hope so, anyway.
Today I also need to pick up a birthday card and pop to B00ts to get deo (I'll use my points).
I'm also part way through prepping an AF order. I'll send it on Friday once my pay is in. I've allowed £45 for this from my GB and it will cover us for all the biscuits, treats and anything else that looks like a bargain. The order will usually last 6 - 8 weeks depending on what I can get, so that will cut down the weekly shop (or give us a bit of space to buy other stuff).
Sorry folks, that's a bit rambling.

...been away too long again!
Since my last post, payday has been and gone and I'm trying to keep us on the MSE-road for what feels like a veerrrryyy long month.
I've been busily reading Little Miss Uni-Debt's 1% thread for the last few days which is very inspiring. Based on the posts on there, I'm going to do my own version, which is basically a personal challenge to make more money each month.
So, I'm going to try to make an extra £20 per week, which is £2.86 per day. I started yesterday, so that's £2.86 x 23 days left in July = £65.71 in total to aim for. I'll put this in my signature to keep track.
So far, I've listed a couple of books on Amazon and have put one (small value) item on E6ay. I'm going to have a look at my surveys later to see if there are any there I can do.
As a small start, I've re-banked all the loose change in my purse today (I love using the coin-counting machine) which came to £1.41 - a small, but positive start
.
It's A1di day today, so I need to prepare the shopping list. The mealplan is already done. I'm hoping to keep it to around £40.
Spends today so far:
2 x bottle of c0ke bogof - £2.06 (I'll keep these in work and use instead of buying cans each day)
reduced cakes - £1.35
Total = £3.41
BeenFull LBM 26 Sept 110 -
I've received a small credit to my AF account today of £6.84 which was for missing items plus a bit extra for the inconvenience
, I've added this to my making money total for the month, making it £8.25 and 12.5%
.
I still haven't got around to doing any surveys, and there's no interest (so far) in my Am4zon or e6ays items. Hopefully it'll pick up on the weekend.
Succumbed to a coffee with OH at lunchtime, costing me £4 (I'm sure I was overcharged, but couldn't make a fuss with OH with me ). I've now just got a few smallish coins in my purse until Friday when I can top-up again.
