I have been to Taba, although I stayed at the Sofitel and it is amazing. But be warned, it is literally four hotels in the middle of the desert. nothing else. No shops, no bars, no supermarkets. It will be quiet in jan uary - there were about 25 guests when we stayed! I loved it, but if you are looking for entertainment, its not for you. And take a jumper, I went in December and its chilly at night and can be windy in the day too. Snorkelling is amazing - head right up the beach past the hotels and you may see turtles. Try to snorkel in the morning before the wind gets up. We paid £600 all inclusive for the two of us on Dec, so although this is a bargain, its still possible to get good deals the rest of the year too.
