Are there any discounts codes/offers available for previous customers of screenselect can use?

(as I understood before some of the free trials are only for new customers)

i'v had loads of problems with love film but the account i re-activeated with this code (thanks to OP) has an expired credit card so i'm comfy in the knowledge that they cannot screw me over this time....and i have 90 days of dvds :D so thats what, about 10 rentals? lol

this code worked for me and i've been a customer before

granted i had let my last 3 months for 1 offer expire early last month so i think you just need not to be subscribing to them at presant.
  • Here's one to watch out for. We started using Sainsbury's dvd rental service and when they offered us a big discount for subscribing for the following 12 months, we decided to do it. Then around August time, they announced that they were no longer offering this service and that we would now be with lovefilm. All fine and dandy. This christmas we got a pvr and now there aren't enough hours in the day to watch all the films we've recorded so we decided that we weren't going to renew but naively thought they'd contact us when it was renewal time. The first we knew that we had subscribed again was when we got our credit card bill and they'd taken a hunk of money without any prior notice. We rang to say we didn't want it and they've now cancelled our account but are flatly refusing to refund our money, citing their terms and conditions at us. I have asked for a copy (on credit card co.'s advice) especially as their website doesn't seem to mention 12 month subscriptions as far as we can tell. It's a shame they are so lacking in confidence in their ability to keep their customers that they feel they have to indulge in these practices, which we feel are very underhand.

Ok guys hasa nyone had any problems with lost dvds/games?

I posted 2 games back to them on the 31st Jan. 1 arrived in my account within 2 days and was posted another on my list. Now a week had gone by and still no sign so filled in a lost disk form and they sent out my next choice and said a letter be with you within a few days.

well 10 days later i got this letter and it just asked wjere i posted it and thats it. Now it also says that if i dont sent the letter in i will get a £50 fee added to my account!

So anyone had any problems like this? This is my first problem is 3 months of renting with them.
  • Like many others I was tempted to join LoveFilm from the link on this site. I joined 20th Dec 06 with the unlimited x2 DVD package @ £12.99 /month.
My interest is documentary titles, very limited selection and mostly old poor quality (obviously from old film – not digital) Deliveries have been erratic usually only 1 disc despite paying for x2, out of sequence and 1 disc came cracked and unplayable. I always returned the discs either the same day (many discs were not worth watching to the end) or the next day but most times waited a week for the next delivery.
My credit card was debited 10/01/07 service continued to be very poor with no DVD at all in the last week so I cancelled my membership 09/02/07 with all rentals returned. Despite this LoveFilm still took payment from my card the following day. I have emailed them many times but failed to get a refund.
Dealing with this firm has been my worst ever experience of customer service, I wish I had never read the offer – sorry Martin great website otherwise.
