I did notice that tesco & asda have expanded their "World Foods" aisle but here it seems to cater more for the rapidly expanding Polish community.
And you're right the bags of dried herbs they had were 4 times the size of the packets/jars in the spices/condiments aisle and loads cheaper.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190 -

Edinburgh has a couple of good Chinese supermarkets as well as an Asian supermarket and a few good Asian food shops on Leith Walk. The supermarkets are great and very cheap compared with the usual supermarkets. Also be sure to check the freezer sections as they have some stupendous deals ie frozen parathas, naan bread etc.0 -
my local asian supermarket is selling 10kg of onions for £1.99 - at Morissons and Asda nearby they are around 88p a kilo!!
no brainer for me0 -
We went today and got a melon, strawbs, 8 huge peaches, dried red chillis, mustard seeds and a big bag of rice and it was under £6!!!!!!"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
