Pets sub board X-factor

Right folks after much [strike]nagging[/strike] persuasion, I have finally agreed to have a pets sub board. Yet the problem is sub board of which board? Unable to come up with a definite conclusion in MSE Towers (ie everyone else disagreed with my view) I've decided, in best faux X-Factor style, to put it to the public vote.
  • Family. The Sharon Osborne Option: " A pet is part of the family, the kids play with it, it comes on holidays, it goes away with you. Therefore the pets board should be part of the family board."
  • Gardening. The Simon Cowell Option: "Look its quite simple a pet is an animal, they belong outside. Full stop."
  • In your home. The Louis Walsh Option: "A pet is something that belongs and lives in the house, and requires upkeep like the rest of the house. It should be in your home."

Family. Definitely. They're part of the family whether they live outside (horses, aviary birds, my slugs!) or inside (hamster, budgie, goldfish, OH!)
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Oh and is it okay to point out that the search engine might have problems with it? Experience from the insurance board tells me that searching for 'pet' 'cat' or 'dog' hit a blank as they are too short.:D :o

In your home. My dog is part of the family but lives in the house, the fish are too boring and i'm building a vivarium for a couple of bearded dragons and if i needed advice i'd ask about it in the 'in the home' section

I'll vote for.............a sub board of Gardening.

I was thinking of examples of pets/animals that go out in people's gardens. The obvious ones are dogs and cats............but even goldfish are found outdoors........in garden ponds.:D

Family, every time. Apart from the fact that family is exactly what pets are, it's where most pet posts seem to be anyway.

I've voted for family. Pets are an extension of the family. :)
