  • Ebay has loads of timeshares for sale. You have to be careful when picking an agent to sell it, sometimes they can promise the earth. Where is your timeshare? We own one in Calahonda in Spain.

Be very careful. SOme of these resale agents want paying up front to sell your timeshare, and just never do.

We could do with setting up a private scheme for holiday swaps and cutting out the v. expensive swapping companies
  • There is a minefield of agents, but its difficult to trust anyone in this line of business. Even the people we bought from offered us a stupid amount of money . This is a topic that needs investigation!!!
  • We have looked into this and we were offered less than management fees for them by our company. We are considering not paying the management fees and handing the timeshare weeks back, this is an option especially if your fees are due. They are not worth it anymore. We can get same holiday, but without paying management fees each year. An expensive mistake!!!!
  • Virgin on this chat link, have timeshare trying to sell, gold crown My advise stay clear can't resell offered £2oo, paid £3,500.
Has anyone been offered sale but have to put £600 up front.
May follow other owner and not pay maitinance.
  • I own a timeshare in Orlando Florida, i have had it for 3 years, and it is a fantastic apartment, but you can get a package holiday with a car thrown in for less money . so i have decided to sell mine.
I contacted several companies , they both said that they had guaranteed buyers, and wanted to do business over the phone, there and then, one wanted £999 up front and the other £800 up front, which they said would be refunded when sale goes through.
I asked them to put information in the post, but they shyed away, and said they would fax or email stuff. KEEP AWAY from these people.
I'm still looking to sell, and i hope to come uo with something , if anyone can help.
  • I have a clc timeshare which I would like to sell. I've had it for a year, wasn't able to go on the freebie due to my mum's untimely death (even tho they were constantly harrassing me to take it) and since then, the only info I receive from them is a general email giving details of offers! I really want out, especially as I'm emigrating to Italy next week so wont need it.
    Can anybody help me pls?

my friends have 2 weeks in Crete and havnt been able to sell it, They are now prepared to give it away or just not pay the maintence fees
If anyone wants it let me know Im sure they will just give it to you
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel
  • The Timeshare Hypermarket are a legit resale company. You will only get around half what the brand new price is though

I do think there is still a place for quality time shares though. You have to buy RESALE though to make it viable otherwise you get wacked if you decide to sell, and it is also a lot harder to make it stack as a viable alternative to luxury hotels unless you can buy heavily discounted
