So are you advising the bill payer to change suppliers while giving them bad information? Having them move to a supplier whose bills might not be the cheapest just because you get the cashback? Sound immoral to me.

I had similar thoughts. Forcing the bill payer onto a less than optimal tariff so that the OP can pocket some cashback clearly isn't a decent thing to do. And asking others to advise on how best to do this hardly seems in the spirit of this forum.

The comparison sites can work it out. I use uSwitch but there are others.

Well no, it's not *likely* to be cheaper. It's *possible* that it will cheaper but the likelihood is not certain. I've just put my details in uSwitch and it says that I can't save by moving. I'm on EDF saver7 and got a rather decent cashback last time but it's not time to move again just yet.

I think, right now, the cashback sites are paying more than the comparison sites, so I'll likely go with one of them.

I didn't say it would be cheaper than what I've paid up until now. I said cheaper than what I would pay if I stick. Rates have gone up, so it's very unlikely that anyone will pay less than what they are now unless they're on a really bad tariff. I'm talking about how future rates compare, so I stand by what I said. I am likely to be saving them money anyway.
