What to do? O2 LG chocolate
I took out a 12 mobile subscritpion via e2save back in May. The phone in question is the LG 'chocolate' kg800.
It is rubbish. Keeps turning itself off. I cannot always hear people who ring me / when i ring them. The screen turns bright white and freezes, I have to remove battery turn off to reset almost 5 times a day.
I do not want this phone any more.
Am I in any position to ask for a new phone or upgrade with e2save / carphonewarehouse? They just told me to go to nearest carphone store and see what they can do - store said 'we can send it away for you, 28 days etc etc' I dont want this.
Has anyone been in a similar situation before and have any recomendations.
Much appreciated

you have a 12 month manufacturers warranty on the phone and thats why they are offering to send it away. in the law it states (from what i can remember) that if you have proved that the phone was faulty within the 1st 28days of purchase then you can get a replacement within the 1st 6 months. you are now on your 8th month so this would not be applicable. because you are on a 12 month contract you have to stick with that too.
have you contacted the network to se whether you are eligable for an early upgrade? if not then give it a try. just tell them your phone is faulty and you need a new phone to use as it is important for you to have working. if they say no then see when the earliest time is for you to upgrade.0 -
by the way o2 usually let you upgrade on the 11th month of your contract as standard.0

that sounds like a software or maybe a flex cable fault (flex cable is the cable that links the 2 halves of the phone together)stoofer wrote:Keeps turning itself off. The screen turns bright white and freezes, I have to remove battery turn off to reset almost 5 times a day.0 -
if you've got another phone you could put your sim in that and send your phone to LG for repair. I had a Moorola phone that had faults and sent it away but no luck so took it to a local repairers. It cost me £15 to get it fixed. Might be worth an estimate.0
