    Morning all :)

Can I please ask you ALL to be nice to moneysavers?? ;)

Firstly, please lets not make this into another he said/she said thread. We all know there are faults on both sides both NRP and PWC as a broad generalisation, but everyones cases are different.

OP - you need to report to the CSA that you have the qualifying child for 2 nights out of 7 every week, that will reduce your liability by 2/7ths. IF you can show a diary of times this has happened recently this will support your case and a decision will be made by the CSA regardless of what the PWC says.

If you have concerns that this child is not being cared for then really you shouldnt be on here you should be in court asking for a residency order, you dont need a solicitor, in fact families need fathers run an excellent mackenzie friend service who will help you sort it out.

Have you been in contact with the school? If this is his home life, I would imagine it would be affecting his school work, and whilst not moving him is a noble thought, he would be better to be soemwhere where he is safe loved and wanted and can study properly, even if that means resitting some exams in October.

Any debts, from the divorce, her kitchen, what she does with the money are irrelevant to the child support issue. Its all been dealt with through the courts so let it go, it will only make things worse. Equally if your so called "good neighbours" are telling you what she is doing, why are they doing that? If your son is not unhappy, and is doing well at school then I would question if that really happens.

Sorry to be brutal but this is your husbands child, and it is him who needs to put these things in place. As a non resident parent he can express his concerns but he cannot determine how the money is spent and nor should he.......I get £5 a week for two children when the CSA bother to pay it, but I would not expect to get it in food or clothing vouchers!

Have you asked the child how he feels?

  • Thank you for your reply, from my original question and from the 'sensible' answers I have decided to leave it, it's not worth the hassle for the small saving we would make... Oh and to the person who asked why didnt we go through the courts for access.... not everything in this world is black and white and people on here may wish to remember that.

I also have 2 children from a previous partner whom I left 5 years ago and have spent the last 4 years hopping about the country evading him who I do not pursue for maintenance one way or another.. so all of those of you who have simple lives where you phone the csa and you get money each week, month whatever it is without hassle ... think yourselves lucky.

Its a whole year since my partner and I uprooted my girls, left our jobs, walked away from friends and family including my partners son who we couldnt even tell where we were because his mother was friendly with my ex.. some friends we havnt spoken to since and moved 100 miles away from everyone and moved into a cottage in the middle of nowhere with a panic alarm fitted by the poilce, started a new life with a new job and new friends in a place we had never even visited and people we had never met... All this to protect my girls from a guy (doesnt deserve to be called a man) who just wont leave me alone, who threatens firearms and has a conviction for battery !! We have met some fantastic people here and have made a happy home and life for my girls. My daughter who has been so brave to leave college half way through and lose a years work and who has gone out and got a job and made new friends.. A step son who we are now building bridges with..This is the other side of Domestic Violence nobody sees... Lives rebuilt with the help of Womens Aid and courts which see these animals for what they are! Women who suffer from Domestic Violence are not weak they are some of the strongest women I know
