Vodafone and cashback

Hi,

I am currenly a vodafone customer with my contract due to expire in december.

I'm looking at going onto a 12 month sim only deal and was looking at doing this through one of the cashback sites, they all state that the cashback is only for new customers but then states it is not payable on upgrades.

Does anyone know if i signed up for a whole new contract and got a new number etc would the cashback be paid? Or would they realise that i have another account and not pay out?

Or does anyone think im just better waiting till nearer then end and trying to haggle?

Hi, I don't know what Vodafone's response would be to this but can confirm that during the past 12 months I have taken extra new contracts with Vodafone and T-mobile and 3 and received the cashback.

Obviously you cannot take your number with you on the new contract straight away but I have in the past got the new contract then asked for my PAC on my old contract, transferred the number to a pay as you go sim then transferred the number back to the original network.

The only issue here , in your case, is that with some networks you only have a limited time ( maybe a month or so ) to transfer your number onto a new contract although on my last switch 3 let me transfer in after 9 months ??
