                    Silver fell 16.6% today
Silver fell 11% yesterday
Gold fell 5.5% today
Gold fell 3.5% yesterday
How do you make a small fortune? Start out with a large fortune and 'invest' it in a precious metals speculative bubble.
Silver has fallen more in the last 24 hours than houses have since peak. Gold has fallen more in the last few days than houses have since peak.
And this is just the warm up.:rotfl:
The commodities bubble is about to go the same way as the tech stocks bubble.

In "real" terms, compared to gold and silver how did my houses (and flats) do today?0 -

You made a FORTUNE today pimps.
Your houses rose by 25% in the last 48 hours.
IN fact, had you sold your house and bought silver from a dealer 48 hours ago, you could have sold that silver at spot to a dealer today and bought back half a house.:)
Ain't VAT a b1tch.....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Interesting that oil has bombed yet my petrol station decided to put the price up for the first time in a few weeks today.0

I know its not your specialist subject but do you think this really is the start of a downward trend for PMs and, if so, what are your thoughts on how far down they will go?
If they plummeted I would be tempted in.
Hate for people to bring this thread up later and say Hamish did a Geneer though.

No idea if this is it or not, but when it does go it's going to be absolutely brutal.
You could see 50% falls in a matter of hours, 90% falls in a matter of days, and no recovery for decades, if ever again.
And all the goldbugs will get completely wiped out, for all the very same reasons they think they won't.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Although all the gold and silver nuts on here do my head in, I don't think we'll see a big crash in the two. My limited knowledge of world finance tells me that if the global economy is shafted people buy gold and silver. Our economy is still shafted, so I don't see silver and gold falling massively. You never know though.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »No idea if this is it or not, but when it does go it's going to be absolutely brutal.

Also, the people who post on here won't be wiped out as I don't believe for a second that any of them actually own any gold or silver. They are just kids who are going through the conspiracy phase we all went through as teenagers. I actually convinced myself that Paul McCartney was dead for a while when I was 14.0 -

Well that was my view so I don't really understand why they are being hammered at the moment.0 -

Was that because he had no shoes on the cover of abbey road?
That and about a zillion other reasons Mr New! Don't get sucked in like I did, it was years before I really accepted he was the real Paul McCartney. It's obviously still more plausable than George Bush being a lizard.
