I thought the discussion was about silver. I've shown what 1oz silver eagles are selling for on ebay as part of this discussion. Doesn't seem that obscure to me.
Okey doke.
Take it you'd have laughed at anyone who tried to suggest silver prices will rise, or are higher than the commodity index's state they are, because they found 6 listings on ebay.
Infact, we know you would. So howcome the other way, to show those investing in silver have lost out....is it ok?
If anyone had used your argument in response to Hamish saying silver is crashing, you'd have found it hilarous. Think about it.0 -

This is a perfect example of why.:rotfl:
:rotfl: Cos its so hard to sell gold and silver to maximise profits right Hamish.
Far better in bricks and mortar, which can be shifted quite readily in our rude and healthy housing market.0 -

Not a clue what you are waffling on about. I'm saying that people who buy silver on ebay for 60% over it's true market value are idiots. That's regardless of whether silver is going up or down or what Hamish says about it.
Do you think your obsession with Hamish might be getting unhealthy?0 -

Well if thats what you were saying, you should have said that instead of responding to my post directed at Hamish.
Funnily enough, it seems Hamish is simply ignoring it. Woul'd have thought?0 -

For sale
2 Silver bullion bars.
Open to offers, will accept a beating and you can get them for free.
100% no proof of transaction!! correct that would be the same line the police will use also and any insurance you may have?? But by the sounds of it you don't have any insurance as you want to hide it!!
Does silver have similar side effects as mercury inhalation?0 -
Yet the last six US silver eagles sold on ebay averaged £33.81 (yes sterling) plus £2.50 in postage.
i.e. more than 60% over the market value. Those silverbugs really are drawn to shiny things.
The participants in the silver market are even more irrational than those in the stock markets.
I don't know anything about silver coins like this, but do they perhaps have a value as coins which is higher than their metal content? Some coins do, I know. But I don't know which (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

From what I read US silver eagles do have a value for collectors but you can buy them from a proper dealer online for £5 or £6 less. It doesn't make sense.
I think silverbugs like to keep things hush hush and ebay (and Gumtree!) are, apparently, just the places.0 -

Again I'm not sure what you are waffling on about. I've said the same thing in three different ways just for your benefit.
I shouldn't have responded to your post about Hamish? Hamish is ignoring you? Good god man - this obsession isn't good for you.0 -

Anyone that buys 1oz silver coins to sell on ebay must be delighted - they are expanding their margin by the day.
They just can't get enough of overpriced silver maples on there.0
