yes, it seems if you're more of a wordsmith and can make it sound better then that's allowed, where as if you're unable to dress it up to sound better it's just a no no!! and they are trying to say being judgemental is wrong, tad hypocritical to me.0 -

I dont see what is wrong in ringing them up, recording the call to protect yourself, and saying hey I have this and that, can you let me know if all capital or can you help me distinguish what is capital or not depending on how came by monies.
They can pretty much answer you and you will have covered yourself re declaring change in circumstance. Simples.
Much better to put it all in writing and then you have proof of the advice you've been given.0 -

I don't see anything wrong when that is (as I've already said earlier) "someone who is definitely and beyond any doubt committing benefit fraud" or when someone asks a question that clearly shows they are intending to do their damndest to commit benefit fraud.
However, in my experience of this particular board, a lot of people jump to conclusions or read something into a post that's not there - and (imo) that is what I do think is wrong.0 -
I think a lot of OP's would save themselves a lot of hassle if they thought a little more carefully about how they word their title. I'm afraid that "Protecting savings from means tested benefits" DOES give the impression that someone wants to keep their savings tucked away and live off benefits instead. There are always going to be people who are annoyed by that and challenge it.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244
