Orange - Refurb Replacements

Basically I'm having some serious issues with my BB Torch(s)

Got the phone, extremely pleased with it, worked fine etc, then it starting overheating quite badly, to the point where it would give off a slight burning smell and be too hot to touch.

Got a replacement, inspected it and found the letter 'G' was sunken in, so couldn't type properly with it.. sent that back, got another, all seemed fine, until i turned it on and found the screen was green... sent it back yet again and got the one i'm using currently. now this has started to develop faults.. turning itself off randomly, freezing and the battery lasting 12 hours with minimal use, even with a brand new battery.

Now i am under no illusion i have had the worst luck with this phone, but am i in any position to demand a brand new handset from them? or a different one altogether?

I just want a phone that works and that will last me... sick and tired of spending hours on hold, arguing with them etc..

I'm 10 months into a 18 month contract.
This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.

They are under obligation to replace. That is all. You are not entitled to a brand new one unfortunately.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

I had a game with them about 18 months ago, my htc touch hd on/off button broke and the couldn't supply one so they offered me a Toshiba TG01.

Long and short of it I had five on them over a week, if you have three phones with the same fault they could offer you a different phone.

I spoke to someone last night and he really did not care. He said he could not justify giving me a brand new one, so has ordered me another refurb to be delivered this morning.

Going to fine tooth comb the phone, if it gets any slight problem it's going straight back, seriously fed up with it to the point where I'm thinking about paying off the remainder of my contract and flogging the phone.

EDIT - Got the replacement phone and what a suprise!!!! the slider feels as though it has grit in it and gets stuck half way and has to be forced and the trackpad just will not work properly!! Got yet another replacement coming tomorrow, she says if that has problems they will look into a brand new phone for me. Whether she/they will honor this is or not is another thing.
