  • I'm surprised others have not reported this but I gather the Mail have had plenty of complaints.

Perhaps they are too embarrassed to admit to being mail readers...

or they are too busy at their local BNP rally!
  • I phoned to cancel as I just wasn't using the vouchers enough to make it worthwhile. The guy then told me that i was paying £16.41 per month !

    I didn't have a letter either

I don't consider The Mail to be a newspaper, its more like a womens magazine really.................

We actually enjoy reading the Mail - sort of a family tradition - but I'm really angry to see that £17.85 has been debited from my account today without so much of a warning. I didn't receive any letter notifying me of the increase. We took out the offer in Dec 2010 for £10.40 a month so it's a rather hefty jump out of the blue :(
  • Strange thing is when I cancelled the DD - I soon got a letter then, telling me that they could not get their money.

Don't know if this is any help but my subscription has also gone up. I did get a letter informing me of this 2 or 3 months ago -it was included with some other items (probably the tokens but I can't be sure) and I nearly missed it. The letter stated I would receive a £5 M & S gift voucher every month (not sure why they couldn't reduce the monthly subscription rise by £5) - I felt sceptical about this but have received them so far.

If you pay via DD you could make a claim under the DD guarantee that they didn't inform you of any price rises.
