If travelling from Stansted you can take an empty water bottle through security and then fill up with drinking water at the drinking fountain just outside the loos you come to after leaving security.

I don't think containers over 100ml are allowed, are they? here You'd be hard pressed to find a water bottle smaller.
  • corkage would be a great idea!

I would imagine an empty container would be fine. Its the liquid there worried about.

I wonder if O'Leary is considering charging "corkage" for people who bring their own food - after all they use Ryanair's seat trays

Are you a shareholder ? You keep giving them ideas:p
  • You can take anything you like on board (food and drink wise). The things you need to remember are:

    1. Nothing in a container that holds more than 100ml/100g in liquid form (includes toothpaste/hair gel/lipstick anything that isn't solid, really)

    2. All your hand-baggage liquids need to be placed in a clear, resealable plastic bag (max size 1 litre), which is placed on the x-ray belt seperate to the rest of your hand baggage

    3. You can only take one piece of hand baggage through security (and hence on board with you) NO EXCEPTIONS (unless it's a musical instrument!!)

    4. You can buy liquids etc. freely from the duty/tax free shops, once you have passed through security and are air-side at the airport. Dependant on the terminal you will find WH Smith/Boots and the usual coffee/perfume shops.

If anything's not clear, let me know, but I think that covers it. HTH LD
