Can I bring a packed lunch on a Ryanair Flight?

Hello!
Going to Rome on Thursday and refuse to pay an arm and a leg for a tiny pipe of Pringles on Ryanair's flights.
Would it be possible to bring sandwiches for me and my partner to eat on board?
Thanks!

Yes! I always take my own food too, and have never had a problem!0

I haven't flown with Ryanair but have taken sanwhiches on easyjet, BMI, Flybe and Airsouthwest.
I don't think they are bothered at all.
In fact the less work the stewards have to do the better (not saying they are lazy just very busy).
As long as you adhere to regulations then you will be fine.0 -
Great!
Just didn't know what with all the new laws and what not.0 -
I never buy any food onboard short flights, just take a sweetie or 2...and just grab something to eat at home before travelling.....then have a meal at destination0

you can take on any food you want, however no liquids whatsoever. and liquids include yogurts, jellys and most things not normally considered as liquid. also all aerosols are classed as liquids as are hair gels, very confusing for people0

Not correct - you are limited in what liquids you are allowed to carry through SECURITY. Once airside you can buy as much liquids as you likedannyfoster wrote:you can take on any food you want, however no liquids whatsoever. and liquids include yogurts, jellys and most things not normally considered as liquid. also all aerosols are classed as liquids as are hair gels, very confusing for people0 -
I wonder if O'Leary is considering charging "corkage" for people who bring their own food - after all they use Ryanair's seat trays0

It's only a matter of time!0 -
Ryanair's business plan involves passengers travelling very much in the fashion of those over-crowded Indian trains you sometimes see.
So it's quite alright for you to bring on a small stove to heat up some rice and maybe some mutton vindaloo.
To pass the time you can chat to the passengers travelling on the roof of the plane.
Cheap and cheerful all the way.0
