Scam email..

Just received an email from barclay's bank asking me to update my bank details due to a scheduled software update.

THIS IS A SCAM, PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK ON THE EMAIL.

I knew this straight away as i don't even bank with Barclay's, but some people may be fooled.

the link on the email is

http://ibank.barclays.co.uk/olb/confirm/ConfirmMember.do

They may use other links though.

I'd attach the email, but i'm not allowed to access photobucket or anything from work.

I forwarded a Barclays one to internetsecurity@barclays once, but because I had to click on it to forward it, I think it let the senders know it was an active email address, because I then started to get four or five Barclays emails a day from the following day.

I had the Halifax one...straight to trash can. I hope this thread makes other people aware of this scam. It's nice to know we're all looking after each other:)
