Mobiles: Who NOT to go with!

Hi all,
As there did not appear to be one at the minute, I think we should start a thread with who we think other MSEr's should NOT go with when taking out a mobile contract.

I'll start!

Company: Mobile Rainbow, AKA Msols Ltd

Reason: Saw a Nokia N80 on contract, free with 9 months free line rental. Beat other networks by miles! Took out this contract, and upon receiving the phone it was faulty. Phone was connected on 16 December.
Sent phone back to Three for repairs, come back on 21 December. Still Faulty.

Therefore we were told by Three, to send it back AGAIN.

So we diid, and got it back on the 29 December this time.

Still Faulty, so phoned Three again who said it would just be better to cancel the contract.

So, phoned Mobile Rainbow, and were greeted by an answering machine telling us that they were closed until 4 January. Phoned again on 2 January, and had an assistant answer.

They have refused to cancel the contract, saying we are outside our 14 days cooling off period, and we have been in touch with Consumer Direct and Trading Standards, who have informed us they have had a number of complaints about this company and that we are probably going to have to go to a small claims court to cancel the contract.

My advice? Do NOT shop with Mobile Rainbow!

Please post your experiences with companies relating to mobile phones below, and help out other MSEr's!

  • Email them threatning to take them to court, maybe that will work, i had a problem with One stop phone shop, i emailed them after i realized their silly cashback scam game, check out the email on my previous thread.

EDIT- Oh didnt read the last bit there, well good look
  • UPDATE: Trading Standards been in contact with us, having to go to a small claims court to cancel contract and get money back from them...Post your experiences with companies below.
