AOL wireless broadband...need help

I subscribed to AOL wireless broadband package which arrived on the 23/12/06 and installed on the 27/12/06. To my dismay, the internet only worked for 3hrs on the day of installation afterwhich it was no longer available and has never worked since. It was displaying ‘DNS server error……page cannot be displayed’ on the internet explorer’s page:mad: I decided to call AOL to resolve problem but received very poor customer service and mentioned i cannot leave since i have passed the cooling off period. They also mentioned i had been on the internet for a total of 129hrs (ofcourse this is impossible since i was only on it for 3hrs max in total). I have been refused my MAC code and i'm stuck.
This is very infuriating as i dont have a working internet service and AOL is not willing to resolve this problem.
Could anyone suggest what i can do....i feel helpless and i have spent so much money calling AOL but to no avail. I really regret subscribing to them.I need to leave AOL asap. Has anyone had similar experiences?
Thank you

did you use the Cd to install it, open internet explorer and type 192.168.0.1 into your address bar if this prompts for user name and password then it means that your router is connected to your pc properly if not then thats your problem,, which lights are lit up on the front of your router?0

You are asking for help but you have not even said which router you are using! The set-up guide here should help you to check that you have configured the router correctly. Have you tried re-booting the router? Have you tried doing start, run, cmd ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
