But if customers don't feedback when things are poor, the company would never know and would continue to sell c**p stuff. I know if you returned to store, you might get a mumbled apology and your money back, and then nothing would happen in relation to the complaint.

This was why I wrote to their CS - it wasn't so much to get £3 but also to let them know at head office of the rubbish they were selling.

If nobody purchased the products, they would soon learn :). Although it's a fair point you make and if you are going to give feedback I also agree in-store is unlikely to be the best option as staff will simply sort it out and do nothing more.

Yes some things are not worth bothering to complain about but when you consistently get poor quality fruit then it is worth raising - not least when they will be selling hundreds of thosuands of units per week.

Not all of their fruit is bad but I have experiened enough bad fruit to bother complaining/asking for a refund now.

Anyhow, I feel I have a valid reason for wanting to return the fruit - just was interested in hearing peoples thoughts on the legal issues. Yes it is very hard to define quality for a fruit and considering fruit doesnt last long I feel any consumer who was refused a refund couldnt do a great deal from a civil point of view.
