Sainsbury's

  • I like alot of Sainsbury's food and the prices aren't as bad as people seem to think; but, the staff in my nearest Sainsbury's local are so dim it puts me off shopping there.

The question 'do you have any organic wine?' was responded to with 'i think so.... is that a fruity one?'

Upon enquiring about an offer that wasn't labeled clearly, the woman I asked for more details simply stood there repeatedly looking at the products and saying she didn't know. Well go ask someone else then!

And on my most recent visit; when requesting two bags 'so the weight could be distributed between them' I must've actually said 'put all the heavy items in one bag and every light item in the other' because that is what I got.

Has Sainsbury's forgotten about the process of staff training?

My nearest supermarket is a sainsburys and I have to say, quality wise the sainsburys own brand stuff is far far better, and seems reasonably priced. I got a weeks worth of fresh veg today for less than £7, and it's all very good quality stuff. tescos by comparison, whilst having much more choice (it's much bigger than the sainsburys here) just doesn't have the same quality level for the price. while i'll buy regular sainsburys brand it seems i have to go finest to get the equivalent quality in a lot of things.

Mind you if we're talking best quality I would shop at waitrose every time if only I could afford it ...sigh...
current debt as at 10/01/11- £1250
