Computer Driving Me Nuts!!!

Hi guys, thought Id come on this board and ask for a bit of help as youve always been so helpful before:D

OK, so the problem I have is my computer is driving me mad! It is running so slow and unresponsive. Been having the problem ages now but tonight I've had enough and decided to ask for help!

I've got CC Cleaner and and I've done disk clean-up deleted all my cookies and history and I've de-fragmented and I've ran Malaware Bytes and Microsoft Security Essentials all which have come up clear. To be honest I only really notice the problem at night time. I've checked my broadband speed and I'm getting a speed off 7 MB so that's all good.

I use the computer for entering the competitions on the competitions board and I use Internet Explorer (the latest one) and I always notice that Internet Explorer flashes its can flash back to my previous page but will always load up the one I'm on if that makes sense. Also when I close windows it crashes and little things come up saying something about Internet Explorer closed this to prevent data execution but I always close the page not Internet Explorer. Also Ive tried using Chrome and Firefox to see if that makes a difference and it still runs slow.

Has anyone got any ideas please its driving me mad!!

1st thing Check your Adobe flash as their was an urgent security update released today.

Is browsing the web slow or programs like office slow as well??

Just because your modem says your getting 7mb does not mean you will get all 7mb. if your exchange is over subscribed you could be sharing the main connection with up to 50 other people, and in the evening when everyone is trying to get online, your speed will drop.

When your machine get's slow, go to speedtest.net and see what speeds you are getting.

what is your machines details? CPU speed, RAM,

Thanks Solitare and Closed. Ive just installed the Adobe Flash Player now. I would say everythings running slow, internet, email and office. Ive just done the speedtest.net and the download speed is 7.36mbps and upload 0.37mbps and ping 54ms. Here are the system details

Hit crtl + alt+del, process' tab, and then the cpu header (twice) so it ranks, high to low, is anything above 50%?

Just done that and everything keeps moving up and down highest I seen was 11 but on the bottom its got Processes: 104 CPU Usage that keeps changed but highest I saw it was 55% and Physical Memory 56%

The ipsos one was for one of the survey sites. I do their surveys and get a voucher for them to spy on my computer. Sounds stupid now really I think I shall get rid of that one straight away.

Yeh I installed Prey because I was told if someone steals the laptop the webcam can take a picture off them and it tracks where it is apparently. Shall I remove that one?
