It is just a way of scamming anyway so I wouldnt bother giving advice.
  • 4 hours a week cleaning a 2 bed flat when it's being cleaned and maintained anyway!

    .

So...you can clean ALL windows inside and out , strip the beds and remake them , do all the washing , ironing and putting it away...clean the oven , hoover , polish and mop every room (pulling out all furniture to hoover and mop behind it) etc etc etc within 4 hours? REALLY?

Would you PLEASE come to my home and do it all for me within 4 hours then? I will pay you the minimum wage for doing so!
The loopy one has gone :j

If that's all that's being done, then it would be easy to do that all in 4 hours. Especially for just a 2 bed flat.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Firstly you do not need to do a deep clean on an oven weekly.
Also outside Windows would be a monthly thing, fortnightly at most.
Washing is not going to take up much time, the longest part is when it is in the machine and you don't stand in front of the machine washing it do you?

It used to take me 3 hours to clean a 3 bedroom, 2 reception, 2 bathroom bungalow that had been converted to have an upstairs. The bungalow was huge and worth half a million quid.

In those 3 hours I had to clean both bathrooms which had showers, polish, hoover the carpets, sweep and mop the laminate floor which was all throughout the downstairs, clean the kitchen including granite worktop which is a biatch to do.
Clean skirtings and door frames, then there would be the monthly things such as cleaing the inside windows etc.
Now this bungalow was clean anyway, they were out all day and their son was at boarding school, so hardly got messy.

Infact I had another bungalow which was very similar except it was a mess every week, both worked from home, 2 very young children and the mother hated housework, I would get all the above done in the same time, although I had to work a little faster.

I have my own quite large 2 bed flat and can blitz it in 2 hours. within that 2 hours I can wash and tumble dry 1 wash load and have another load on cycle in the machine.

I would not accept minimum wage dear. But I tell you what, I certainly would not accept money off the people who are kindly putting a roof over mine and my child's head!
  • I am asking this question for a family member who is currently without internet connection (so cant ask it themselves).

Dontknowanymore - seeing as how you are so great maybe instead of employing their Daughter YOU would be better suited to the job?

Also , if you read my quote above you will see that I am merely asking this question for some-one else....would you like their phone number so you can pass your "holier than thou" spiel straight to them without me acting as a go between!

No disrespect to DKAM (and I'm sure she'll read it in the spirit it is given), but she's not wonder woman. What she's doing (and trying to say) is pretty average.

    LOL No thanks.
I'm not holier than thou at all! :rotfl: You asked a question and have recived LOTS of similar replies, you do not seem to fathom it so it is being explained to you.
Just because you do have not received the replies you wanted you are gettin the arris.

No disrespect taken! You are right.
Most of the things listed can be done gradually throughout the week but when you are a cleaner you have to do it all in one go in the alloted time frame.

OP this is all obviously wasted on you, if your friends want to pay their DAUGHTER just shy of £25 a week for cleaning their house that she lives in then let them get on with it. If I was her I would try and get some more clients or maybe start doing ironing or something to bump up the hours making it more worthwhile registering as self employed.....
