ISO File question/help

Ok this is odd, I've burnt the .iso to DVD using ImgBurn but have ended up with an .nrg file, which a quick search says is a Nero file and I've only got a really old version of Nero that I haven't installed as it says its not compatible with Vista.
The source file says its an NTI iso file (.iso) & I didn't change any of the settings when I burnt it, any ideas what's going on?0 -
did you burn Image to disk, or burn data??......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Burnt image to disk.
Just clicked it again and it says:
Imp ID: Microsoft IMAPI2 1.0 File Sys: UDF (1.02)
where as I have another NTI iso file that I used ImgBurn to burn the image to DVD and it says:
Imp ID: Microsoft CDIMAGE UDF File Sys: ISO9660 (Bootable), UDF (1.02)
I can't say I understand any of this but I know the ISO9660 (Bootable) part is the important part.0 -
Personally I use the following
LCISO Creator (copying contents of disks to make an .iso)
LCISO Burner (for burning isos)
I use Daemon Tools Lite for mounting them as virtual CD's. all free, they work greatOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

Send me the original link to the file via PM, so I can study the source.0 -
Thanks but don't they work exactly the same as ImgBurn? And I don't think I want to mount them as I need a bootable disc/DVD to install a new hard drive.
Yes they do work exactly the same way, they're designed to burn iso files. I also have another iso burner (thin it's img burn) you basically choose the image and it autoburns when you click startOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

I used ImgBurn to burn the image to disc but for some reason ended up with a .nrg file. I think there's something wrong or missing from the .iso file.0
