  • Hi there Moozie & All:D

All this talk about food is making me starving! mmmmm.... especially the thought of a sausage sandwich:drool:

I havent managed a no-spend day today, but have kept is as low as possible!

Bought some broccoli and bananas, (i bet you guessed that?)but also had to stock up on some candles after the electric went off again for 5 hours on Saturday evening. VERY inconvenient coz right in the middle of watching TV! I'm sure that £1.47 for 8 candles isnt cheap, not even when considering they were reduced from £3.49 but I was desparate! The last ones i bought cost 29p for 12 about 20 years ago!! (no, i cant remember back that far, the price is still on the box!)

Anyway, total spend was £4.72 - more than expected but not too bad i guess.

Hope you feel better soon livinginhope,:grouphug:, poor you - feeling rough and not wanting food is one thing but not being allowed to eat is another one entirely.

  • Morning all! Like Moozie and Flower, I can't quite believe it's Monday already either!
I'm hoping for a NSD too, although it will mean that I have to finish the bread I left in the office last week, which tastes like sandals, but never mind.
    Have a good week!

    Sandals?!!!!

How many have you eaten before, to know what they taste like?!!!! :rotfl:

Not as organised as I'd like to be today. Am craving a sausage sandwich, have neglected to bring fruit with me so I may indulge my craving. So that's £1 (I'm conveniently forgetting I'm trying to be mainly vegetarian).

I've not brought lunch with me as I couldn't face another day of soup. So will have to buy lunch. Am on training course for the next two days with lunch provided so the next two days should be NSDs.

Just interested to know what happened in the end Bobbly! I am conveniently forgetting I want to be eating better and healthier so we are sort of similar :rotfl:

Spent 90p at lunchtime but that was posting an amazon book so that's covered in money from amazon.

Bought in lunch today - soup (again!) not homemade, cost 69p from Tescos (fresh covent garden stuff on offer). People kept coming in the kitchen at work and staring at me whilst I was eating it and someone came in and said it smelt really strong (these people had all had a free lunch paid for by the department which admin staff were not included in - hmm).

  • Had to buy toothpaste today cos we've run out, but I went for the Superdrug own brand which was 69p! Really wanted a milkshake but after picking up and putting down several times I thought of all of you on here and didn't buy it!!! So just 69p today!
    Just trying to be me.....

I caved and had a sausage sandwich and a latte!! £1.65.
The sausage sandwich was lovely (Sorry Mrs(no)Money :o) though and I really took my time over it.

I had a brie, cranberry and lettuce baguette for lunch - £2.30, and that was really yummy too. :o

I'm running tonight so I'll run some of it off, hopefully. :p
