Iphone 3GS just bought second hand - concerns

I bought a second hand i phone 3gs from Ebay as a present. the description was "In very good condition locked to o2. used for about one year. the phone will be restored to factory settings.
PLEASE ONLY BUYERS/BIDDERS WITH MORE THAN 5 POSITIVE FEEDBACK.

Today i have received it and the front screen is not flush to the side in the top left hand corner and if you press it, it bounces in and out. also there are finger marks behind the screen as though someone has taken the front off.
I know very little about the mechanics of the phone, but i thought the front is pretty much fixed unless it is sent off for repairs?
Would you be happy with this? i feel a bit cheated because i dont think it is in "very good condition" when the front isnt fixed properly?

No I wouldn't be happy and would be sending it back for a refund - I wouldn't view your description as 'very good condition'.
The front panel is removable ... just google 'iphone 3 screen replacement'.0 -
