in Water bills
We just moved in 2 months ago, and have been away for over 3 weeks so no water being used then.
Our first bill came to over £130 for 2 months! :0
They say we have used around 64 cubic metres of water, but we have a very small flat just myself and wife both working full time so not even home that much to use much water.
I can not afford £60 every month just for water, that is just stupid. What can I do.

Welcome to the Forum:
This was posted in reply to your post in the other thread:The probability is that the initial meter reading was incorrect and you are paying for the previous tenant!
Any water leak after the meter is landlord responsibility, before meter its the Water Company.
You would notice a leak of that magnitude!!
P.S.
I appreciate you are new to MSE, but it is not a good idea to post the identical question in two threads. It is always better to start a new thread.0 -
I work for one of the water companies and what I would suggest is if you can read your meter, take a reading today and this time next week and call to see if your daily average usage is the same is worked out on the bill.2011 wins : Sebo k1 vacuum0
