Three

Hi everyone i need some help.

I am a 3 customer and have been in France most of this year, I got back home and gave my mum my old phone.
My mum uses delivery reports and today I find out (only after checking my "my3" account) I have got an extra £60 to pay on my bill.
I phoned customer services and they said there is now a 1p charge for delivery reports!
I have never been told this was happening and argued this, to which the customer service guy said "we sent texts to approx 600000 customers" well I wasnt one and refuse to pay.
I was wondering where i stand on this?

I am also a Three customer and I too was never sent a 'charging for delivery reports' text message, I also know 3 other three customers who also never received one.
I actually only found out about the upcoming charge from a thread on this forum, if I hadn't I likely would have been charged unknowingly like you.

I'm not sure where you stand but I thought I would let you know that your not the only one to not be told of the change.

there is another thread on the subject have a read over it as it could help, and I suspect that because you were not told of the change then you should be in a good position to not have to pay the extra charge incurred because of it.
  • i know its not all from delivery reports but currently it stands at £60 and knowing my mum the text count is high but its more the principle of three not telling their customers

There is a long thread here

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3240916

Text messages are valid for usually 3 to 7 days, as you were away was the phone on all that time? It's possible it was sent but you didn't have the phone on and it expired.

Given it started in June and your only just complaining, and the fact no-one in the above thread seems to have got much joy with Three I'd say your chances of getting any refund is slim, but you can always try.

    Good luck
