if he didn't get your plate he'll have a bit of a struggle reporting you.

the police could enhance the cctv but as its not a major crime they wont waste resources..
report for information only OP and get a qoute from a bodyshop. If you mention insurance to bodyshops they jack the price up loads:eek:
