Its very well shown on that site cant fault the company if people arent prepared to read, fair enough if a site hides its terms then I can see they may have a valid complaint but this isnt the case0

I got this offer with a WH Smith purchase not so long ago. I logged on to look at it and the moment they start asking for credit card / bank details for a free item, then I decide it's not worth it...0

its a free trial
why do you think they offer it?
they want you to try it and then continue the service0 -
this is very clear from the t&cs. why are you trying to blame others for your incompetence.0

My husband gets a Graze box a week and absolutely loves them. We've never had any problems with them (bar one box arriving late over xmas but that can hardly be seen as Graze's fault!).
It's very clear when you first sign up that your first box is free, 2nd is half price and you will be charged the full price after that. You can't blame Graze because you didn't take five minutes to read the T&Cs properly.
And I'd love to know where you can get items as nice as the ones in Graze boxes for less than £1 - unless you want to eat the same things for ages. The point of the box is that there is enough variety to keep you eating and not reverting to crisps and chocolate.:hello:CC1: £103.62; CC2: [STRIKE]£927.00[/STRIKE] £916.55; CC3: £2786.96; CC4: £414.34

BUT having got my first box after about an hour of selections that you have to make, I then 2 days later received another box. This time of course not free! I was furious and sent a furious email saying it is a huge scam etc. They didn't send any more.Nevertheless they charged me £3.50 for the unsolicited one. Be very wary. I don't think it is remotely worth all the time selecting what you'll get, and it seems they then just start sending you regular deliveries that you'll be DDd for. Also the packaging tho' cute must deforest most of South America....
Will you post the complaint email here too?
Could do with a laughOh come on, don't be silly.
It's the internet - it's not real!0 -
there should be a tax on words in this forum such as 'scam', 'furious' and 'beware'helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Sorry OP but I just don't get how this is a scam.
If you go for a free trial of something which requires you to put in your credit card details I think you can quite safely say that after the trial has finished they will more than likely continue the service and bill your card for it. So many companies do this, Lovefilm is one that springs to mind.
With any free trial that requires you to enter your card details it is entirely your responsibility to make sure you cancel the service before your card is charged. If you forget (which I have done in the past) its a real pain and you may end up paying full price for something you don't really want, very annoying but you really can't blame the company for this, its your own fault for not reading the T&Cs or forgetting to cancel.
There was no need to go through rating all the different snack choices, if you did this when you only intended to receive one box it just goes to show you either didn't understand the concept or hadn't looked at the website properly.0
