Yes it is, for transactions >£10.
They will likely send a form out to fill in after 30 days
What are the circumstances behind wanting to file a chargeback? As not all situations are covered.0 -

Its for a rental car. We upgraded and paid for a midsize car which broke down twice 2 days later. After much wraggling they agreed to provide a replacement however we received an economy car (2 sizes smaller than what we paid for). We can't fit all of the party plus luggage in it so we desperately trying to sort (we are on a road trip in the US) just wondered if this is the sort of thing that would be covered if we can't get a replacement car of the same type that we paid for.0

Can't see you being covered if you're using the alternative car.0

Can't see this being covered either. One would assume that the rental company are not charging you the price for a midsized car yet providing you with an economy?
If they are that would be up to you to dispute with them and arrange a refund of the price difference.
You won't get a chargeback as they won't refund the cost of the car hire when you have had the use of a vehicle.
All that being said, if you made separate payments (i.e. paid a rental for both cars) and for some unexplained reason they are refusing to refund the original rental, then you might get a chargeback I suppose."We can all fly as high as the dreams we dare to live...........unless we are a chicken" ~ Anon.0 -
